Omg, how cool is this?! This is the perfect DIY for spring break coming up. With extra time off from school, we tend to get antsy. Whether you are making this with little kids or 16-year-olds this is sure to be super fun! this DIY Kool-Aid Lip Gloss is great, but the best part is, you only need three ingredients to make it! This tutorial is so popular I hope you all love seeing how its made!

Heat for 5-7 seconds only until the oil is able to be stirred.

  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ Packet of Kool-Aid
  • ½ tbsp Water
  • Small Twist Top Containers

  1. pour your Kool-Aid into a small bowl, and add a few drops of water and stir into a paste. Try to get most of the Kool-Aid dissolved.
  2. Now add your sugar and stir until most of it is dissolved also.
  3. Combine the Kool-Aid mixture with your coconut oil and stir it all together.
  4. Once you have your lip gloss made carefully pour it into your little containers and let the coconut oil harden again.
  5. Repeat the process for any other flavors you want. If you want the color and flavor to be stronger, add more than half the packet of Kool-Aid
  6. After a few hours, you should be able to enjoy your beautiful creation!

  1. Would this work with a lip gloss squeeze tubes? My girls would love to do this but I am afraid of messy fingers with the lip gloss containers.

  2. The only problem I see with this is that coconut oil melts so easy so it would be difficult to carry with you on the go.

    1. I carry coconut oil in those containers all the time. It’s stays solid. It doesn’t turn to oil until you actually rub i ton

  3. It’s very hard to mix kool-aid with coconut oil and I followed to add warm water and later on they split up with coconut oil on the top and kool-aid on the bottom.

  4. i think its a good idea for birthday party’s and easy for girls to make. i used it as a home maid party favor.

  5. I love the idea as I am searching for a church project for my friends youth but water could make the lip balm go rancid.
